One of our main way to removed Opossums would be live trapping. Luckly for our clients we have various different ways to successfully remove these animals from their property.

Exclusion

Normally, Opossums would get under structures. This means that they can sometimes create holes and property damage. we offer small exclusions to help prevent any other pest from taking up residence.

Are they dangerous to be around?

They're not fighters at all. They hiss and show their teeth in defense, but rarely does one ever attack. They usually play dead on the ground.

Can I capture an Opossum as a pet?

No. They're not domesticated so they're not predictable as pets. People may receive Opossums in their care permanently due to inability to survive on their own, but that's after careful consideration that they truly can't live on their own. They may also dislike their captivity, and could shorten their lifespan.

Can you get rabies from Opossums?

You have a higher chance getting struck by lightning than getting rabies from Opossums. Their bodies aren't suitable hosts for rabies as their body temperature is lower than most that can carry rabies. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's a very tiny chance.

What is an Opossum?

Opossums are marsupials, they help keep the tick population low by eating them.
